September 2009: Team Work Sighting

Something happens when you start seeing your team’s work in the real world. I was at Penn Station when I flipped through the Yahoo! Sports Preview and saw a print ad that my team at Yahoo! helped create. Here it is on page one, and again rocking the back cover:

I didn’t design it, though it represents the fruit of my team’s collaboration with some folks in L.A. They taught us a lot about process and art direction. NYC designer Melissa delivered on the design, and L.A. polished it up before printing.

02.28.09: I uploaded my first illustration to iStock today! Once an artist, always an artist—if you consider economically-priced stock illustration "art". What started out as a weekend project could turn into an obsession. Click here to see my budding inventory:

10.17.08, 10.24.08: It looks like the graphic design seminar I lead at Baruch College was a hit. The room was filled with around 15 students each night (not bad for a couple of Fridays). It's my hope that the students—mostly business-minded non-designers—gained a clearer holistic picture of graphic design.

Thanks to the BCC-SGA for the organization, and my Yahoo! co-workers Dave and Melissa for the feedback.

07.03.08: As mentioned previously, last summer I had the pleasure of teaming up with the award-winning agency WebNBeyond. Flowers by Topaz was one site I designed and helped to build. Well it took a while to launch, but now it's live! Click here to view the original site design.

05.08.08:
After completing another website several years ago, the client for PBS Group Inc. called on me once more for a brand new project. PBS Group, Inc, provides innovative ways to help companies save on medical expenses. It's a worthy business and I'm glad to have designed their logo and web template.

03.29.08: Every year, Geoff and Irene Unger organize their team in the MS Walk in Westchester County.
This year, I'm glad to have designed the team logo, appearing on T-shirts and the team website.

Congrats to the team for raising nearly $13,000 this year!

08.04.07: Here comes the bride! I've had the privilege to work as freelance designer/art director on the Bridal Reflections redesign, teaming up with the award-winning agency WebNBeyond. The new site was launched this week; click here to see it!
